After a minute or so of cuddling, and playing with Anna in the cave after taking her home from the playground, she asked me:
"Yes my daughter?"
"Is it a problem that I like alone?"
"No. A lot of dragons like spending time alone. I can see you like being alone a lot more."
"I don't know why it feel better than with other kids. They look like they like being with others more than alone."
"It's okay, Anna, everybody's different! Your brother and your sister are like that too."
"Why Jonathan no talk?"
"Hm... me and your mother don't know."
"Is there something wrong with us?"
"No. There is nothing wrong with us at all! Why do you ask?"
"Other kids in playground call me dumb."
"The other kids picked on you?"
"Other kids. I don't know names, or others at all. It hurt."
"Awwwww, come here." I said as I opened up for a hug as I was laying down. She came up to me, and we snuggled.
"Why did you not tell me this?"
"I dunno!" she said in a panicked tone, as she started to have a little freak out.
"Shhhhhhh, it's okay to tell us if your hurt or scared." I said as she then calmed down.
That's when we saw Angela come back to the cave.
"Hi there, beautiful, hi kids." I said.
"Hi lukas." Angela said back to me.
"Daddy!!!!" I heard Hayley scream as she ran to me.
I quickly opened up my arms as Anna left to go see her mother, and Hayley ran into me, and I gently caught her.
"WAAAHHH!" she wailed in my chest.
I looked down, and she looked up. She was crying, and she had a huge solid purple bruise on her arm
"What's the matter my daughter?" I asked.
She kept crying, and patting her arms on me.
"She fell from a boulder on her arm, and got laughed at by other kids when she did that." Angela said to me.
"Awwwwwww! Are you okay?" I asked Hayley.
She sniffed and said "It hurt, daddy!" as she lifted her arm with the bruise up.
I licked it, and wiped the tears off of her face. She stopped crying.
"Why other kids mean?" she asked.
"I don't know. I guess they thought it was funny that you fell. But its all fun and games until someone gets hurt."
"It hurts!" she said.
"I know, my daughter, I know. Its not your fault." I said as I began to suggle her so that she's comfortable.
"Feeling better?" I asked as I smiled at her.
"Y-yes." she said as she sniffed, then smiled again.
I bit a piece off a soft palm leaf from the nest, and used to to wipe the remaining tears, and a booger that was coming out her nose.
"Blow your nose." I said.
She only blew softly.
"Hayley, do it harder."
She blew a lot harder then I said "Good girl." as I wiped it off, and then placed it into a small hole in the side of the cave we made a long time ago to act as a trash container.
"Daddy?" she asked as we all laid down in the nest, with Anna and Jonathan sitting in the comfort of their mother's arms.
"I no want to go to park again." she said.
"Didn't have a fun time?" I asked.
"No. I hated it."
"Well, I'll assure no one makes fun of you guys again, okay?"
"Okay." both Hayley and Anna said.
"I love you daddy." Hayley said to me.
"I love you too." I said back with a smile.
Jonathan began to whine.
"What's a matter, my son?" Angela asked her.
He whined even more, and then went onto the nest in between us, and began to slightly scream.
"I think he might be having a meltdown."
"Are you sure?" Angela asked.
"Yeah. Just let him scream and beat up the nest if he needs to." I said.
Jonathan began to violently pound the nest, hard, and he began to freak out. He started to bite the nest too, and claw at the nest as well. He could only leave scratch marks, for he wasn't really physically that strong yet.
He was going berserk, and even violently flapping his tiny little wings which couldn't function for their purpose yet.
As he was doing that, Anna held tight to her mother, and Hayley held tight onto me, as if they were scared. I comforted her even more.
I watched him for a few minutes until he finally calmed down. I wondered, that since he just had a meltdown like that, I think I might be right about him, Jonathan might really be autistic. And considering how Anna and Hayley are showing their high sensitivity, and their preference to being alone, I think they could also have autism as well, just milder forms.
"Shhhh, it's okay, everything's gonna be alright." Angela said softly to him as she patted him. He fell to her belly, and began to rest.
Anna and Hayley began to yawn, and fall to sleep. Both of us then placed them in between us where Jonathan was. They also then went up, and rested their head and back on their mother's belly. I guess it was very warm and comforting there too. Angela smiled as they fell to sleep.
"Apparently they like sleeping on your belly." I said.
"Hm, so it seems....." She said as she began to feel her belly.
"Lukas?" she asked.
"Yes, my love?"
"Remember when I was big?"
"Yep, I remember that, and you fell asleep trying to find food for us after you accidentally ate our portions?"
We chuckled then Angela said "Yeah. Well something that's been on my mind recently is that I've been missing being so big. Is that wrong?"
I paused for a second then said "I don't think so. I told you already a long time ago, you're beautiful no matter what."
"Awwww, thanks!" she said as we nuzzled. We told each other that we loved each other, and watched the kids nap although it was late in the afternoon.
Later that night, in the middle of the night, a smacking and chewing noise woke me up, I looked to my right to see that Angela wasn't there. The kids were deep asleep on my side, and I wondered what's going on.
I looked at the entrance of the cave, to see Angela sitting down, with her back turned from me.
"Angela?" I asked softly as I yawned.
She turned around at me, with what appeared to be a fish in her mouth. I looked around her, to see that there was a large pile of fish in front of her.
"Angela, what are you doing? Why are you eating like this at this hour?" I asked.
She finished eating the fish in her mouth, then spoke softly:
"Lukas.. I... *sigh*."
She turned around so that her body was facing towards me.
"I wanna get fat again."
"Because I can't help it, I wanna experience it again, I wasn't kidding when I said earlier tonight that I missed being big."
"You liked it that much?"
"Yes, earlier today, I decided that I rather be fat than be thin. Not too fat but not too skinny. Can you accept that?"
"Sure! Angela, you know me, I never judge! If you wanna be big again, then go ahead, I have no problem with it." I said softly with a smile.
She smiled back. "Lukas, you're the best, I love you so much." she said.
"I love you too!" I said back.
"Besides, I think our kids will be more comfortable sleeping on a fat belly than a skinny belly, wouldn't you think?" she said.
I thought about it a minute. What she did kind of make sense.
"You know, Angela, you do have point." I said
She then returned to eating, right before I went back to sleep, Angela asked softly:
"You wanna fish?"
"Nah, I'm good." I said as I went back to sleep.
